CANYONING

Don’t worry if you’ve never heard of this activity before – it’s great fun. Canyoning is the descent of the gorge and waterfalls.

activ8s is the exclusive operator of Scotland’s original canyoning gorge, Allt a’Bhealaich, near Kenmore and offers a superb introduction to this activity.

     

During the descent participants enjoy a variety of features on the gorge, all under the supervision of our experienced canyoning guides.

The canyoning adventure begins with jumps from rock ledges into natural plunge pools in the narrow gorge and continues down scrambling and sliding on natural water flumes. Rope lowers over the waterfall are another highlight of the activity.

Most will want to participate in all parts of the descent, but if anything doesn't appeal to any individual they can follow the path, which runs all the way alongside the gorge, then rejoin the group.

     

All specialist canyoning equipment (full wetsuit, buoyancy jacket, helmet and harness) is provided and included in the cost, together with instruction throughout.

Canyoning is normally available every day April – October inclusive. Duration is approximately 3 hours.
